GCW provided a full tenant audit. It obtained feedback from existing occupiers and carried out and provided a full and detailed gap analysis. It also canvassed potential occupiers and ascertained why they were not represented in Sutton or the shopping centre and developed a sense of what needed to be done to attract them to the scheme.
GCW liaised with the appointed team of architects on how best to improve and reconfigure elements of the scheme to create better entrances, a fully functional leisure scheme and internal circulation. It also developed a detailed asset management strategy for the short to medium term.
GCW was the existing leasing agent on the scheme and provided the retail and leasing advice as part of AEW’s due diligence at purchase. Following the purchase, AEW appointed GCW as leasing agents and it is now working to put in place the asset management advice and deliver the leasing advice.
It has since implemented a successful plan to develop a new cinema and associated leisure offer in Sutton.
