GCW tops the financial charts

October 2009

A strong client base, experienced staff and effective IT systems combined to give GCW the top ranking of all UK property agents, measured by turnover per head of staff.

GCW bucked the downward trend which saw 84 per cent of all agents suffer from falling turnover in Estates Gazette’s annual survey. The firm recorded turnover per head of £187,714 in the 2009 survey compared with £179,500 in the previous year.

“It’s really pleasing to see that our hard work has paid off with such a strong benchmark against our competitors. We have always had a good rating on turnover per fee-earner and per head of staff but this is the first time that we’ve been number one” says GCW director Keith Whale.

An overall rise in turnover of 13.8 per cent on the previous year also pushed GCW up the rankings of overall turnover by six places, moving the firm up to 47th from 53rd in the UK.

“Our biggest strength is the people who work here. This helps us to create strong customer loyalty and to cushion us from downturns in the market” says Whale.
