GCW is in discussions with a number of leading hospital trusts and aims to begin Superdrug’s roll out later this year.
“Hospitals have a large group of captive customers including staff and patient visitors and are an obvious opportunity for Superdrug. Although the retail market is not well-developed, we know that shopping habits are changing and see hospitals as a natural location for Superdrug’s products” says GCW director David Gooch.
GCW has recently agreed terms for Superdrug to open in a transport interchange at Brighton railway station replacing internet collection company Doddle. The 1,895 sq ft unit on a 10 year lease at £220,000 pa is at the entrance to the terminus station and at the heart of Brighton’s residential and business district.
