New pub letting agreed in vibrant Clapham Old Town

The Apollo Arms, the latest addition to The Lunar Pub Company, opened its doors at 13–19 Clapham Old Town this summer. GCW let the space on behalf of the landlord. This independent operator also owns and operates The Hunter’s Moon in South Kensington and The Ganymede in Belgravia.

The property benefits from a 5,000 sq ft floorplate and features a rare large outdoor seating area that has been well utilised by the pub. GCW engaged with occupiers through strategic off-market targeted approaches generating competitive tension and multiple offers from varying proposed uses and occupiers, including two nursery operators, said Archie Morriss, director, GCW.  He added: “Using acquired interest and following surrender negotiations with the existing tenant, we are able to secure a 50% rental increase for the landlord from an occupier who is already trading incredibly well from the space.”
