The retail chain, owned by Philip Green’s Arcadia Group, has taken an 8,500 sq ft unit on a ten-year lease in the shopping centre, which is owned by a fund managed by Doughty Hanson.
Doughty Hanson said that there were four further units in Old George Mall under offer, and that the Topshop store would open next month.
Clay Collier, associate at Doughty Hanson, said: “The new lettings are consistent with Doughty Hanson’s value enhancement strategy for the Old George Mall.
“The property is currently undergoing a major enhancement programme; with four more units currently under offer in the scheme we anticipate making further announcements in the coming weeks.”
Michael Beaumont of Arcadia said that Salisbury is a key location in the group’s expansion plans.
