Following the successful opening of their store at Droitwich, Gooch Cunliffe Whale have negotiated the surrender of the Waitrose store in Kidderminster to landlords, Glanmore Property Fund. The store, at just over 20,000 sq ft, no longer conforms to Waitrose standard requirements.
The landlord accepted a surrender of their lease that expired in 2011 and are now seeking to relet it through their agents, DTZ Tie Leung.
Gooch Cunliffe Whale has also received instructions from Waitrose on three further stores in the south of England. All three are leaseholds including the 35,000 sq ft store at West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton, an 18,000 sq ft store in Westbourne, Bournemouth and a 20,000 sq ft store in Lymington. The stores have become available following Waitrose acquisition of Morrison stores in each of the three towns
