GCW Gets Into Coffee & Muffins

BB’s Coffee & Muffins which was brought out of administration by its Irish parent in October 2009 has announced the appointment of new management.

Paddy McCarthy previously of Eurhotel has been appointed Chief Executive with Andrew Moyes being installed as General Manager. Andrew has over 30 years experience in the retail and food & beverage sector including Marks & Spencer and Shell.

The management are launching a new look for BB’s with revised menus early in 2010.

As part of the restructuring over £1,000,000 working capital has been injected by the parent company, Kapelad.

BB’s now trades from 70 branches and has aggressive plans to open 20 new sites in 2010.  As a departure from the traditional business BB’s will be opening both in shopping centres and on the High Street.

As part of the restructuring former Director Phil Abbott has left BB’s to pursue his own interests.

Retail Property Consultants GCW have been brought on board to advise on the existing portfolio and instructed to acquire new outlets.
