Hermes Real Estate and Prudential have secured two more deals at thecentre:mk, in Milton Keynes, making its new restaurant quarter shopping centre fully let.
Italian chain Carluccio’s and Japanese eatery Yo! Sushi have each agreed to take 4,500 sq ft in the quarter, called Destination Dining. They have both signed 25-year leases.
The two restaurants are scheduled to open in the summer and will sit along side French restaurant chain Cafe Rouge and Portuguese outlet Nando’s.
Robert Goodman, centre director, said: This is an exciting time for thecentre:mk as these final two lettings, to Carluccio’s and Yo Sushi!, complete the line-up at the new restaurant quarter and complement our other new lettings at the centre including Kurt Geiger, Jones the Bootmaker, Phase 8 and Jaeger who have all moved into the adjacent Premium Quarter."
He added: "Although market conditions remain tough, the success in pre-letting the restaurant quarter development to sought after brands and the strong retail lettings across the centre over the last six months demonstrate the encouraging levels of interest the centre continues to enjoy.
"This sustained interest from the market plays an important part in enabling us to improve the tenant mix at the centre."
