Another New Couple in Royal Windsor

May 2011

GCW has secured two new tenants for King Edward Court Shopping Centre in Windsor, which is owned by London and Associated Properties Plc.

GCW secured a simultaneous surrender of a lease at 52 King Edward Court and re-let the property to Pret a Manger, for their new Pret Coffee Kitchen concept.  Pret a Manger have taken a 1,400 sq ft unit on a 10 year lease at a rent of £87,500pax, with 6 months rent free.

Independent card and gift retailer Temptation Gifts, who were the online gift retailer of the year in 2009 and 2010, have taken a 1,440 sq ft unit on a 10 year lease, with a tenant break at the 5th year, at a rent of £85,000 pax, with 4 months rent free.

Both lettings represent a significant improvement to the tenant mix as part of the strategy implemented by GCW.  The lettings equate to a net effective Zone A £115, which reinforces the tone established since early 2008.
