Internships restart after Covid break

After being sidetracked because of Covid restrictions, GCW have fired up their internship programme.

Each intern will spend an average of five weeks at the firm, gaining an overview of the three sectors GCW covers: owner, occupier, and investment, with enthusiasm and being able to bring ideas to the table, key requirements from those taking part.

“[An ideal intern is] anybody with innovation in terms of the way we should be doing things. It’s not just coming from senior people up here, it's coming from people going out, seeing things, and asking, ‘why aren’t we looking at this?’ says Simon Horner, partner, GCW.

He added: “It is important as an employer that you try to  get best and brightest, and you do that with the aim to  bring people through.”

There is also an overlap with Pathways to Property, with the latest intern, Jack Cashman, having come via the Reading University scheme.
