Over the next decade £500m of investment are planned to be pumped into Edmonton Green that will see dramatic transformation with 1,468 homes, 172,000 sq ft of new landscaped public space and new retail and leisure. Reflecting this aspiration and growth, national brands are investing in the area with several new lettings, and upsizing’s at the 120-unit Edmonton Green centre, advised by GCW. These include UK-wide anchor brand JD Sports relocating to a new larger unit, Starbucks taking a 15-year lease, in a unit that will showcase their new format cafe, with contemporary, warm interiors, and bakery chain, Greggs scaling up its retail presence with a larger branch as part of their national growth strategy.
“GCW have been working on the evolution of Edmonton Green resulting in national brands investing, causing a shift in consumer appetite, dwell time, and overall moving the centre forward with positive trajectory. This is a sign of things to come,” said Callum Stephenson, associate director, GCW.
